VDA 5050: Definition

VDA 5050 is an open communication standard that lets AGVs and AMRs from different brands talk to the same supervision system (fleet manager), via a common protocol for exchanging messages (missions, status, position). Developed by the German automotive (VDA) and mechanical engineering (VDMA) federations, it aims for multi-vendor interoperability.
